Company Information
Ural Refinery is an Aksuatsky-based company whose primary business is the acquisition, refining, and processing of oil to produce dark and light oil products. The company was established in 2022. The first stage of the Raw Hydrocarbon Processing Complex, with a refining capacity of 65 thousand tons per year, was launched the same year. The second stage of hydrocarbon processing, with a design capacity of 300,000 tons per year, began operations in the fourth quarter of 2023. The commissioning of the third stage of hydrocarbon raw material processing is planned for 2025, with a design capacity of 830 thousand tons per year.
We are the only company in the region with such a project, which allows us to easily sell the Plant’s products and thus partially meet the region’s need for gasoline and lubricants. Because of the Company’s location near Kazakhstan’s Sea Gate, it has unrestricted access to Caspian oil trading. The Ural Refinery will use the heating oil produced by the plant to bunker tankers and ships. The domestic market will receive all gasoline and diesel fuel deliveries. This project is partially funded by self-funding and partially by borrowing (from second-tier banks).
The plant’s strategic location in the Aksuatsky industrial district, as well as the presence of its own access railway tracks, enables efficient shipment of finished goods. The company also has its own tank farm for intermediate storage of finished products. We have an 11,000 m2 administrative and production building where we also clean railway tanks from bottom sediments. Simultaneously, the government is considering a project to clean railway tanks from the outside, which will be the only one of its kind in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the future.
The corporation has its own truck fleet for transporting oil and petroleum products. The company has received specifications for building an oil pipeline to supply raw materials to the plant via the Ural Refinery system. Because pipe transportation is currently the cheapest in the world, the aforementioned activities will significantly increase the value of the product produced. Our company primarily sells finished goods to wholesalers. Marketing organizations are massive in the local market, both regional and national corporations.
With the exception of basic equipment, materials and equipment for current activities and construction are primarily obtained from manufacturers in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Customs Union. The primary equipment suppliers are European firms. The sophisticated technology purchased complies with Kazakhstani regulations and meets global environmental standards. Both international and domestic standards and laws are met by the manufacturing technologies.
